But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:14-15

It is our heart at Resilient Life Church to see each teenager choose to follow Jesus for themselves and to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to build friendships with each young man or young woman, so we can speak truth into their lives. In an increasingly complicated world, we want to provide a safe place for our youth to study the Word of God and examine the issues they face day to day in light of the Bible.

We meet in our youth pastor’s home once a week for a time of Bible study and prayer, encouraging each youth to learn how to dig into the Word of God for themselves and take the struggles of life directly to Jesus. We want to share life, so we can walk alongside each young man or woman and cover them in prayer.

In the Bible, we see God using people of all backgrounds and ages. The Bible says that each believer has received a spiritual gift and that includes young believers. Timothy was a young man whose mother and grandmother faithfully loved the Lord and shared the word of God with him. Having known God’s word from a young age, Timothy was ready to be used by God even in his youth. Paul exhorts him in 1 Timothy not to let his age be a hindrance to his ministry. It is our hope that each young disciple at Resilient Life Church will similarly seek to serve the Lord with their gifts and abilities wherever they’re at right now.
